Adult Education
Because Jewish learning is a lifetime effort and joy, our members enjoy numerous opportunities to study together in a variety of settings.
- During social distancing, each month, Rabbi Listfield hosts an evening gathering for a discussion generally on the weekly Torah portion. He also hosts an adult study program as part of Havdalah, one week each month. These programs are open to the public. Please check out his schedule for exact dates.
- The Book Club meets periodically to discuss a relevant Jewish topic. Current Book:
- The Origins of Israel, 1882–1948: A Documentary History
- Two sessions: June 10 at 11:30 and TBA
- The book chronicles the making of modern Israel before statehood, providing in English the texts of original sources (many translated from Hebrew and other languages) accompanied by extensive introductions and commentaries from the volume editors. Available at:
- Members of our lay leadership conduct ongoing Hebrew language classes. Private lessons are available.
